Rate

Intake session (first appointment): $150 60-minute session

Counseling session: $105 60-minutes

If you’re self-pay because you do not wish to involve a third party/insurance in your private counseling matters or if I’m “out of network” with your particular insurance company but you want to work with me, a helpful approach to paying your counseling fee is to do bi-weekly sessions. We all invest time and money into things that we want or that matter to us. If you’re seeking counseling, you value health and well-being, and good relationships. It’s worth investing some of your time and hard earned money into what you need and what matters most to you – a healthy state of being and good relationships!

Insurance

I’m an in-network provider with BCBS, Aetna, and United Behavioral Health/United Healthcare.

For all other insurances, clients self pay and after each session I provide you with an invoice/superbill that You can file with your insurance for your own reimbursement for counseling services rendered.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it’s possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

It’s important to know that in order to file a claim with your insurance company for individual psychotherapy, a mental health diagnosis must be reported. Claims without a diagnosis are denied.

If you do not want a mental health diagnosis in your medical records history, then you may choose to not file claims for therapy and self pay for counseling services.

Payment

I accept check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.

To schedule your initial intake appointment, a credit card is required to secure a reserved appointment hour. No charge is made unless you fail to provide less than 24-hour notice of cancellation or fail to attend your appointment. The late cancellation/no-show fee is $25 for the initial intake appointment.

Cancellation Policy

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. Failure to cancel your initial intake appointment will result in a $25 fee charged to your credit card on file. For following counseling sessions, the full session rate of $105 will be charged to you, if for any reason a session is canceled less than 24 hours prior or failure to attend your scheduled appointment. This policy is applied to both in-office and tele-therapy sessions. Please note that insurance does not reimburse for missed appointments.
